I am only a high school student, am I eligible to attend this event?
Operation Career Launch is open to students of all ages, parents, teachers, professionals, community members and anyone else interested in attending! We have something for everyone, whether you are currently in college and trying to decide your major, or even in junior high, high school, or elementary school and just wondering about the options you have for furthering your education.
To receive extra credit for attendance, do I have to attend both the morning session and the career fair?
You can receive extra credit by attending either session. Any student who wants to get extra credit for attending Operation Career Launch 2009 can get a non-reproducible "extra-credit" card that will have a stamp on it verifying they attended AND participated, or we will forward names and student numbers for online instructors only. Where should I go if I have any questions on the day of the event?
There will be Event Ambassadors wearing gold shirts throughout the event that can help you with everything from where to park to finding booths, tours and demonstrations. Or you may stop by the registration desk at the event. Also, on the day of the event, you may call 714-992-7067 for help with any questions you may have.
Who may attend the morning session?
The morning session is geared toward educators and local business leaders, but is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the current state of career technical education. However, space for this event is limited, so you should RSVP to Dr. Rebecca Morgan at 714-992-7257 or email OCL09@yahoo.com as soon as possible.
Where should I park on the day of the event?
Free parking should be available on campus, but if parking is full, there are several locations to park nearby for free, or a minimal parking fee. Please visit our Directions page to view directions and maps for these locations.
